Chandler's salary on his current contract - the last year of his deal - is $15.5M.

That's what it would cost the team who traded for him: $15.5M for one year. Personally, I don't see a team doing that.

As for Jones trying to get cut: that doesn't look like a smart move ... unless he would get more than $15.5M on the open market.
