I've lived through too many offseasons with this team believing the hype until they start playing and suddenly I'm saying to myself, WTF! Last year was particularly brutal as I expected Sean to expand the offense and Goff to take a step forward in his understanding and ownership of its success.. By midseason, it was obvious the Rams were a pretty good team but not even close to being championship caliber. The offensive line looks good against poor defenses, but gets wrecked against tough DLines. This was even true in 2018. Even Tom Brady required half a season to get in synch with the Bucs. This won't be like '99 when we got a chance to watch the operation during the pre season. The good news about that is how well the Rams have done in the first game of the season under McVay, they've yet to lose one. This year, it's easy to be optimistic, but I need to see some blocking and tackling before I get excited.
