Some people would call it “outstanding” and others would say it is “concerning,” but LA Rams general manager Les Snead has overseen an immense amount of roster turnover during his tenure on the job. That has included the additions of many NFL stars and key starters, but just as dramatic is the number of those players who are now playing with other teams.

And I think that if you put them all together on the same team in 2021, they might actually not be bad. Replace the Tennessee Titans entire roster with this group and the Jaguars, Texans might have a challenger between them and second place in the AFC South.

Seriously. But that’s more commentary on Jacksonville and Houston than it is about the following team, which does have major concerns on the offensive line. Major.

Here is a starting offense and defense entirely constructed of ACTIVE players who are all FORMER Rams.

QB - Jared Goff (Lions)
Backup - Blake Bortles (Packers)

Read ahead and then decide if this roster is better or worse than what Goff actually has with Detroit right now.

RB - Malcolm Brown (Dolphins)
Backup - Todd Gurley (FA), John Kelly (Browns)

Brown starting over Gurley? It’s kind of hard to believe, but Brown might actually be Miami’s leading rusher next season.

WR - Brandin Cooks (Texans)
WR - Josh Reynolds (Titans)
WR - Sammy Watkins (Ravens)
Backups - Tavon Austin (FA), Mike Thomas (Bengals)


While I wouldn’t call this a strength relative to the rest of the NFL, the receivers are clearly the strength of this offense.

TE - Gerald Everett (Seahawks)
Backup - Derek Carrier (Raiders), Temarrick Hemingway (Washington)

Some teams do worse than this at tight end.

OT - Greg Robinson (FA)
LG - Rodger Saffold (Titans)
C - Austin Blythe (Chiefs)

Backups - Cody Wichmann (FA), Isaiah Battle (FA)

Not...half bad? In a good year, this defensive line could be considerably terrifying.

This is okay.

CB - Marcus Peters (Ravens)
CB - Janoris Jenkins (Titans)

SS - Lamarcus Joyner (Jets)
Backups - CB Nickell Robey-Coleman (FA), Trumaine Johnson (FA)

These players are all ex-Rams for a reason and Johnson might be the only loss that really hurts LA’s secondary, but damn ... this is a good secondary right now. And yes, it does have weaknesses. It could implode. Yet I think the Seahawks, 49ers, and Cardinals would all take it, or at least want to pluck one or two players from it.

K - Greg Zuerlein (Cowboys)
P - Corey Bojorquez (Not an ex-Rams yet...)
LS - Jake McQuaide (Cowboys)
Returns - Pharoh Cooper (Jaguars)
It is hard to find an ex-Rams punter in the NFL right now but if Bojorquez doesn’t become an ex-Rams punter by September, then that means that Johnny Hekker might be the one laying boots for this team.
