Jerseys the LA Rams retired? I don't like retired jerseys at all

I've never been a fan of retiring jersey numbers just because an epic player that wore it before was an all time great and hall of famer.
For me, the NFL is always going to be bigger than the past players no matter how great they were.
I don't care if they are the all time leaders in every NFL at statistical category.
I would rather hear an NFL broadcaster say that the current player doesn't live up to the former great Ram player that wore the number before him.
Retiring jersey numbers is hogwash to me.
Just hang them in the rafters with their name on the back of the jersey but let the number be worn by the next great generations of players.
