Yeah, the lack of just one more stud at either DL or Edge has frustrated a lot of us for years.
Rams have great depth at RB, WR, CB, and S. Pretty darned good on OL, too.
But so far that fellow stud to help AD has been lacking. If and when Rams find such a stud I think that their D will be absolutely smothering. But until then, I think that Rams are squandering some of AD’s best years.
As an aside, no disrespect is intended for AD’s current front 7 teammates whatsoever. Floyd is a stud and several others are ‘pretty good’, but there seems to be nobody that can really demand attention and special gameplanning like we’re talking about. Someone that can be a Darius Williams for Ramsey type of complement for AD? Maybe a goal for FA next year if Lewis doesn’t pan out this year?
