I want to see him play at his current weight since he looks explosive, and quick. Hate to see him add a bunch of weight and lose the explosiveness. To me he is a WR that can be used as a flexed out TE.
He's going to be a move TE for us and that's assuming he can win that job in camp which is no given. But if he does you're talking only being out there during 12 sets, which won't be the dominant set for us. In that role explosiveness and matchup threat is what he's on the field for.
Now that said everyone has to block in this offense. Even the wideouts. So he'll need to do that. But part of the reason he's been on the field so much in OTAs is that he's willing to do the dirty work, as evidenced by his special teams and gunner ability. From that perspective it's easy to see him shining in the blocking side of things. I don't think he's going to have any problems upgrading the blocking we got from Everett for example. Day one he'll probably be better, assuming again he wins the job which is no given.
