The "raw numbers" here equate to three far more important stats than the 5,000 yards thing:
1. A QB rating of 100.9
2. A YPA of almost 8.3
3. A TD/INT ratio of better than 2.5:1
I could care less about the 5,000 yards thing. It's those three stats above that dictate far more about how effective the QB is.
Honestly, if things go as well as hoped, his cumulative numbers will be relatively modest. If our running game is productive then there won't be a need for Stafford to be averaging 300 yards passing per game. Those are "catchup" numbers where your team is losing and you have to keep throwing. I'm hoping the Rams are playing a lot of 3 quarter games and getting Wolford some reps.
