McVay is the coach. McVay thought Goff wasn't the answer at QB. Goff gets shipped out. Sounds like a coach doing his job. I for one was overjoyed when they traded Goff. He was terrible last couple of years.

In my post, the one you respond to, I was deliberately NOT rehashing opinions about the trade and the players involved. I was just pointing out one simple, narrow fact. Which is, I don't think McVay suffered any hyper-scrutiny. There really was only one article in the entire media that examined the thing from several sides and came up with criticisms of McVay. I don't consider that hyper-scrutiny. I consider that one article.

In terms of why the trade happened and so on, which is what you discussed, I can say we differ in a lot of respects. But not enough for me to repeat the same old arguments again today. Today I'm all Goffed out.
