IMO? Jones was overkill and would have caused cap issues.

Rams have good receivers. It is true they don't have anyone of Jone's caliber. But do you need that? IMO they have enough big contract types as it is. The days of the "all pro at every position" teams like the 70s Steelers ended with the advent of free agency and the cap.

"All pro at EVERY position" of course is hyperbole, but you know what I mean.
