Goff was on the "Hot Seat" in 2020. Stafford should get 1 mulligan year unless he stinks it up.
If Matthew stinks it up this year there will be a NFL media uprising of how the Rams blew this trade at set the franchise back.
As I posted 4 or 5 times last season Jared Goff was on the hot seat.
I didn't post those threads for shock jock responses. It was what I believed after reviewing his 2019 film several times during the offseason.
There were others before me that jumped ship on him and I felt it was my time to express my honest views of him after watching him implode too many times in 2019 and showing more of the same during some of the 2020 regular season.
I was sad to see him fail
The hot seat normally means your days are numbered. A phrase that is exaggerated and used in professional sports all the time.
We all know Stafford will have a ton of pressure this season to perform and because of his experience, He wont' get free passes for games like Jarred had last year at the Dolphins and vs the 49ers and his second game at Seattle.
There was a couple more clunkers last season but all staring NFL QB's tend to have them.
Regardless, Stafford will get slammed if he doesn't lead the Rams to the playoffs in 2021.
He might get somewhat of a free pass if the defense takes a huge step back and the O-Line plays horrible. Even with those excuses he will be lambasted if the Rams don't earn a playoff berth. As it should be.....
