If I'm the Lions I'm not in the least worried about his health. It's his head and his heart.
He takes an entire year off so he doesn't get Covid. Then he gets drafted. Knows he's going to be in the same kind of close quarters that he skipped college for, and he gets Covid? He can't bring himself to get vaccinated? Knowing his job depends on him NOT getting Covid?
I am just not down for these kids that skipped a year, unless they had some underlying condition that made them especially vulnerable. They were just trying not to get hurt. And the clubs that picked them? High in some cases? Way big risk.
Really dumb. And he just may be another one of those kids that has already achieved his goal. It was to be drafted into the NFL. Now he's going to get several million for just showing up. That may well be all he ever does.
Hopefully someone can get in this kid's ear. How can the Lions feel about their investment at this point? Yet another wasted Lions' pick?
