That seems to be the strategy. Every touchdown seemed hard last season and they need to beat the Seahawks and Niners (ie stop the run) before the Chiefs. If Atwell can cause stress for defenses to get them out of position or open up the middle for Akers it works. If safeties have to look at him it helps the non-speedy receivers to get open. The reasoning is clear, now the player evaluations are the question.
With all due respect this board has often celebrated total busts like Brian Allen, John Kelly and Barrett Jones, and decried JJ and Ebukam. It’s fun to talk about the draft but the only thing we can really analyze is the reasoning behind the picks.
