That is, only to see if the TD legitimately occurred (NOT including penalties, called or not), and was the turnover legitimate (did the guy REALLY fumble the ball). That's it. If they did that, the difference in time would be negligible you wouldn't need the mystery man in New York, you wouldn't need eleventy twelve officials, you wouldn't need red flags, and you wouldn't need a sleeping bag to endure an entire NFL game.
