Why don't the NFLPA and teams work to get players vaccinated?

April 13, 2021 11:36AM
At least in time for Training camp or workouts before. The team probably can't mandate it without the NFLPA's participation, but they could incentivize it. Vaccinated players get more contact with position coaches, trainers, etc (all should be vaccinated) giving them a leg up if they're fighting for playing time or a roster spot. If their job might be on the line, you'd probably drastically improve vaccine acceptance. No vaccine, no in person work. You can try and learn on zoom. Good luck.

I would really hope that all the players will be vaccinated by the time pre season rolls around. Please, no more guys missing games for covid protocols or teams postponing games, we should be past all that by the fall. If you choose to skip the vaccine and miss a game for covid infection or exposure - maybe you lose a game check. I know the NFLPA will never go for it, but we can dream can't we?
