That only becomes a consideration if you think they DO NOT have a starter already in-house. If they do have a starter then adding a developmental guy who is depth and a future possibility at either guard or center is a good idea.
If they DON'T have a candidate in house then they have to draft one high, whether it's a good idea or not.
They could of course find a budget FA for a year or maybe a "ronin" type another team cuts, who then holds the spot for a year. In which case you can draft a guy and then have the rookie and guys already on the roster in contention to start in 2022. But do you count on finding a cheap veteran who can fill in?
BTW I don't consider Corbett a candidate for center, for the reason you mention--why change 2 OL positions at the same time.
For Allen to be a candidate, IMO he would have to have improved so much that he surprises all of us.
