Not sure what the locker room can do

I don't buy that he 'will be kept in check'. How many multiple offenders have been 'kept in check' by a locker room? Didn't work for Antonio Brown, hasn't worked for Smith with the 9ers and raiders and now the cowboys want to move on. This tells you something about the player.
