I think Noteboom showed well overall last year coming off that 2019 injury (and considering the truncated 2020 offseason program and cap). He was ok, not a liability. And he's now played over 1,000 snaps over the past two seasons.
I'd love to see him get a full offseason (OTAs, camp, preseason games) and it can only help him. He's a quality 3rd tackle in my opinion. But is he more? What if he plays ~100 snaps this year? Do you then pay him a 2nd contract as your starting LT? I'm not so sure. I think drafting a LT in the 2nd round of 2022 or trading a pick for a more established LT are more likely.
I agree with that and before the end of last season I defended NB. But he was not a run blocker last year and the OL in general with him in there was not the same as it was in its best games.
I think 2018 will go down as a lackluster draft league wide and that the Rams did not get the 2 linemen they wanted out of that draft.
