This kind of stuff with intricate trades, and bundled drafted picks from those trades, and then certain players in certain rounds with those picks is a nice parlor game, fun for sure, even a wish list.... but to take it as even remotely serious staggers the imagination.
There's a difference between serious speculation of the informed (which I am not) and the far-fetched.
Yeah, none of that stuff is likely to happen but it's definitely fun. And I still find it useful in brainstorming general plans and strategies.
For example here, we probably won't see the trade up with Carolina which includes Hav or the specific trade with the Cowboys but what I take is the general strategy that they will try to move Hav and Brockers to free up money and get some additional draft picks. Those are much simpler things to project.
I take away the general idea that they will fix the OL in free agency, they will target edge, future LT, DL, and CB in the draft, and stand pat at ILB. Pretty simple. The specifics will look different but is not a bad idea as far as plans go. It could easily be in the realm of possibility.
Once you generalize the plan instead of focusing on the specifics, you'll find that you're in the realm of the serious speculation of the informed.
