New QB contracts make Goff's seem cheaper: Stafford will collect

The deals for QB's go up and up every time someone signs a new deal, the formerly highest paid turns into the 4th highest paid, then the 8th, and so on. When you have a guy you think you can win with - you pay him. If it doesn't work out, you lick your wounds and walk away. You have to try and take your shot.

Teams that don't pay big money to QB's either have a guy on a first contract, or don't win much (see the Washington football team this year)

I don't fret Goff's contract anymore or any of the drama that happened at the end of last season with Jared.

He's a Detroit Lion now and I wish him the best except when he plays our Rams.

This does tell me that signing Stafford to an extension likely just got a lot more expensive.

I wish the Rams would've signed Stafford to an extension prior to Dak breaking the bank.

Oh well. As long as Stafford's extension gives the Rams some salary cap relief over the next 2 seasons I will be happy thumbs up smiley

The Prescott signing is even more proof that the greedy NFL owners did not need to lower the cap one single cent this season No Way smiley
