Remember Wendell Tyler. We were playing the whiners in 79 at the Stick and we were up 26-20 late in the 4th and our Rams were about to seal it inside the 5 after a nice long drive but Wendell Tyler fumbled at the 1 yd line to give the pesky whiners another shot. I was so pissed at the time of course lol ! But like Bill Walsh would say of Steve Deberg in his book that Deberg was just enough to get you beat as he threw the game ending pick I think to Nolan Cromwell. Great for us Rams Fans ! In that game Vet QB Bob Lee came in for Vince and threw a 30 yd TD Pass to Ron Smith who made a Fantastic Catch at the back of the Endzone keeping both feet in and control of the ball to give our Rams a 26-17 lead late in the 3rd Qt. I think Bob Lee was 3 of 4 for approx 60 yds. Ah it was so nice beating the whiners ! GO RAMS !
