If we took Badd-azzz
last year and left TE for to draft/replace this year...would we be in position to get yer #1 TE in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th round?
Hopkins sure looks like a stud from his college film -
sans the drop issues at times. I think I woulda preferred it the way it turned out..... a great TE prospect with a year on the bench to learn vs. a 4th round OC. An OC plays more snaps, no doubt, but a stud TE
(Hopkins) can be a great power on offense if he comes along as we all hope. I just think ball-handlers are more valuable commodities vs an avg OC
(cuz they can be swapped out/replaced with relative ease.)But I'm extremely irrational & biased towards skill positions. btw - It's just me personally, but I played QB and got sacked...ALOT...however, I would still have choose better ball handlers(RBs, WRs, TEs) over a great OL if it was one or the other. Cuz, imo, as a QB, one
can buy himself more time by moving around in the pocket/rolling out to compensate for a poor OL play that game...but there's is NOTHING more disheartening and soul-crushing for a huddle than when a WR/TE drops the ball....cept maybe an overthrow to a wide open receiver in the EZ
(which I did too much of that too!! lol).I'm joking...but not by much!
