I absorb AOT of different podcasts, radio shows, etc so maybe I'm just using exposure bias. But last off-season no one was calling us a contender. They were saying we'd be fourth in the division. I do remember that from pretty much every article I read. The niners had just gone to the Superbowl, Seahawks made the big splash trade, and the Cardinals were supposed to be some ascending team.
I'm glad to see us as the odds on fave in the division now.
