Interesting that after watching the superbowl that Jarod Goff is more a Tom Brady style and Stafford more like Mahomes.
And historically the more mobile gunslingers often win you a bunch of games throughout the year, but are usually hit and miss, and the consistency isn't there and they can lose you a critical game when their little circus act doesn't work that week. You need to win when it counts, not just be a highlight real.
Having said that, I am ok with this trade because it's a game and it really has been boring with Goff. And McVay.
Even if we had won the superbowl a couple years ago, as a grown @ss man, I could never see buying a Goff jersey. He just didn't move the needle as a fan, as good as he was for us.
So whether we win more or less games with Stafford, I am happy to have a guy who can make players around him better and go down swinging. Because it's exciting and passing the ball behind the line of scrimmage and having Woods run the jet sweep all day is not exciting.
Hopefully he stays healthy.
