We do have questions at safety, not sure they like what they're looking at with JJ leaving. But even with that concern and my fear that someone will sign Williams away I think this offseason is gonna be about the defensive front.
Improving vs the run is going to be important for our Super Bowl aspirations. IMO this defensive front played very close to their best ability last season and they got exposed there at the end when they couldn't stop the Packers' run game. And since that run game is also what causes us to lose to Shanny I have to think Edge and ILB are areas they're looking hard at.
Draft has some guys I really like as fits for us too. Rashad Weaver for example. I love his hard-nose style and game. If we lose Floyd there's a guy who helps us ensure we have a good edge and he could also move around in this front.
Whatever happens I would like to see physicality added to the front seven. More physicality. More intimidation. Big edges that are nails in the run game. ILBs that add range and help snuff out ball carriers in space but also fill downhill hard on the inside.
We're still a finesse team in a lot of ways and changing that will make this team more potent in the playoffs.
