In my little Rams world they need a WR big time. Like many others I hope they can land Marvin Jones Jr (or someone to compliment Staff). I think they need a complimentary WR, someone that can get deep or at least threaten the 3rd level.

I think Marvin Jones Jr. is better than Woods and Kupp in the RedZone. A lot better............ He might be, but until McVay cleans up his redzone play calling it might not matter. Can Stafford make the redzone efficiency better just on his arm alone? I remain skeptical, but maybe. This has been McVays weakness since Washington IMO

While I agree that redzone play calling has been Mcvay's weakness, I think it will matter even if the weakness stays as is provided they find a WR who can get deep.

Stafford took the 2nd most deep shots in the league. I think we were near the bottom in that category. From my review of his games this year, he threw plenty of TDs from more than 20 yards out.

One way to offset a redzone weakness is to bypass the redzone entirely with explosive plays. That should happen more often with Stafford sort of like it did with TB and Brady.
