And I agree with your point that if there were ever a qb who really could still play effectively behind complete OL disarray, Mahomes would be one of them.
But he didn't.
Which--and I agree with you on this, too--likely means that when a line falls apart the qb goes down with it.
Our own Rams examples of that are plentiful, starting with Bulger in 2007...and although the OL issues were not as severe, the most recent example was Goff in 2019.
