I just know that the standards change depending on the narative. Chiefs game plan put too much on Mahomes and they dictated the outcome by the type and style of play they went with for most of the game.
My standards are always the same. It's not a "narrative" it's based on abundant facts. No qb plays well behind an OL that damaged. Everything is thrown out of whack and it pretty much doesn't matter what you do.
That was the story for all of 2007, for example.
