You protect him and give him a solid running game and WR talent. You can win with either style of QB. I just wonder if KS will start questioning the money they spent on Mahomes if he does not make playoffs next year? His showing in this game was not inspiring despite how amazing it was to see him get balls off durig his hero ball exhibition.
I love Mahomes. I respect Brady and I realize that all the talk that suggest a 25/26 QB is someone you cannot win it with is just plain ridiculous and unknowable. QBs that had no business in a SB have won.
What I see is you can win a superbowl with other offensive schemes, OCs and HCs.
What I see is great offenses need more than the QB or belief in the QB to win a Superbowl even if they have won before.
What I see is QBs that have lost SBs can win more than they have lost.
Rams rolled the dice and mortgatged our future for a short term goal that is not something we can promise or expect with a new QB that has never done it. This is going to be an anxious offseason and summer. This game did not make me more hopeful.
What you saw was the result of multiple injuries to the Chiefs OL including both starting OTs out.
You have to factor that in, or it's not realistic.
It's a very rare qb who can play well under those conditions and as we just saw, Mahomes is not one of them.
That's what most qbs look like under those conditions.
