I'm not sure about this. They could have refrained from creating the controversy around him but I don't know how much that affected his market value.

But the real reason I'm skeptical they could have gotten compensation for Goff is because Snead is a wheeler and dealer. He's makes more trades than any other GM so he has the experience, he works the phones.

If there was more to be had he would have found a way.

At this point, I'm skeptical that Wentz has a lot of market value. For all we know, Philly is putting it out there to create a market.
