But I'm not sure I follow his logic. The Rams coaching staff and FO didn't play QB. That was Goff. I feel bad for Goff that his play fell off. But's mostly on Goff. I think the Rams worked to get him a running game and a solid OL. Goff turned the ball over. Goff missed reads. Goff made rookie mistakes. Goff showed a lack of awareness at times like when he slid 2 yards shy of the 1st down marker in a critical situation. Why did the team seem to rally around Wolford? And why would a head coach that overpraises everyone be non-committal about Goff? I feel kind of bad for Goff but the fault is mostly his own. And of course he has $100 million so what the heck... Poor Jared? They did him wrong?
The other thing is that Warner was injured. Martz liked Bulger. And IMO Martz and the FO were poor at running a football team. The team that Vermeil built... talk about how poor drafting can crush a team. Anyway not apples to oranges but not the same situation either. And it took Warner a bit to get back AND if he had stayed with Martz his career would have ended a lot sooner IMO and Canton? I doubt it.
