Rogers, no way. Watson neither.
So despite all the talk, here's some that could be available and trade teams.
Matt Ryan. Atlanta goes for a make over.
Sam Darnold. Not good enough.
Bridgewater. A kind of Bradford QB who has flashes but is not consistent and takes the check down too often.
Newton. His time is over. Take away his running and you take away his effectiveness. And he's done running.
Fitzgerald. Maybe as a one year solution while a young guy comes up (as his role with the Dolphins, who made the switch WAY too quickly).
Cousins?. I kind of doubt it. Do the Vikes really want to get a rookie and start over because what other vet QB who is better than Cousins could they acquire?
Wentz? Nope. The Eagles made their choice and fired the HC instead.
Haskins. Yikes. Good luck with this guy.
I imagine there are some others, but the point is that who on this list that is realistic might be available, and then factor that in with the trade for Stafford. He's certainly not on par with Rogers, but I think Watson is overrated. He's good, but I don't think he's as good as Stafford. And as for the others (including Matt Ryan) Stafford is better.
Rams didn't get a world beater. But they got the best of the QBs who will actually change teams.
