It's great to say "pay him" as though an extra $500K is chump change. But in the salary cap picture for the Rams, it isn't.
The Rams are going to need to restructure some contracts and get creative with others that moves salary into 2022 and 2023 and/or adds a year to the contract with more guaranteed money.
The Rams are going to have to fight for every dollar they can save to keep the impact players. The reality is that there aren't very many BAD Long Snappers in the NFL. The kid is replaceable even if the snaps may not be "perfect".
