... he's our Qb, gotta accept it
I'm not crazy about the trade but I think I get it
One last thing, I think there's something more to this and we'll never know what it is
It called cleaning up or cooking the books but Ram's have not been prudent with money and have not understood when to pay and have negotiated poorly in the past which includes trades where we consistently give up more than we get etc.
This organization patts itself on the back too quickly. Ramsey was one of the top Corners in the league when we trade for him but that doesn't mean we needed that. We gave up 2 #1s for him. We did not win a SB and now we are saying its because Goff has not delivered more wins. Not becuase we have hancuffed our self by our lust for big names instead of results.
Rams paid to get out of a ontract but they have not freed up enough cap space while securing more asset and draft equity. We are payig the piper.
We can say this is about Goff not being good enough but then why can't we admit this team has not been good enough if we have lived by splash trades instead of building a great franchise. We have coached by charming the fans media instead of being fundamentally sound consistent and improving.
This is not Brady going to TB who had all the weapons and signing FA. This is Rams trying to reconstruct from the asset defecit this team has and the coaching and strategic mistakes they have made which far outway how anyone sees Goff who was a #1 oveall pick in the first place so the talent is clear. Stafford was a former #1 overall who never was able to seal the deal in Detroit. I doubt he is good enough to do so with the Rams.
Rams had to make the trade to get rid of some of the financial hit they now have to figure out how to overcome thier arrogance and miscalculations. Not a sign that we are one of the great organization of our era.
