Normally this type of a situation is a mess, but I’m not convinced. The reason why is if it can be assessed as a mess, it’s self inflicted.

But McSnead look coordinated on the messaging. It confuses me and probably everyone, but it doesn’t make sense as an unforced error, even though it looks like nothing but one.

The only risk in all this—and Mike Silver, Goff’s confidant, has said Jared is blind sided by this—is Goff sitting out a year or turning into a shell of himself on the level where his talents now reside.

So, I don’t know if this is one of those SunTzu triple dissimulations, or even a clumsy attempt at one, but it doesn’t look to me like a lunkheaded unforced error.

I don’t see it as a mess either in terms of lessening the terms the Rams receive in a trade. Goff is right for many systems.
