And Goff had a chance to win that second game against the Niners and didn’t get it done. Mullens on the other hand playing a fully healthy Rams defense took them down the field and kicked the winning FG
And Goff was bad in both 49ers games... horrible but he was even worse in the 2nd game... where he was outplayed by Mullens. Mullens wasn't great against the Rams. He wasn't even good... but he made plays to keep his team in the game and then to win it. Goff did NOTHING...zilch... zero
Nick Mullens got it done. When the score was 20-20 and they needed to score to win the game he led his team down the field by making a few plays when the game was on the line to get the win. Don't talk to me about being consistent. Classical I get sick and tired of saying the same thing to you guys that keep making excuses for Goff. Make a few damn plays in these close games where a play or two from the Qb can make a huge difference. Mullens did that Goff did not!
As for you blaming the Rams defense. The Rams defense and Akers are the reason the Rams got the lead in the game. What did Goff do to get the Rams the lead or win the game? Its was Akerson 3 runs that led the Rams down the field getting them back in the game. It was the Rams defense with Aaron Donald causing Mostert to fumble and Hill recovering to scored a TD to put the Rams ahead 20-17!!!
Stop the foolishness - Goff was a complete no show... he did nothing that game. ZERO
The defense allowed 16 points. Are you forgetting that Goff threw a pick 6 - Goodness you guys act like you just block out how poorly Goff played. You want to blame the Rams defense for losing the game and not acknowledge how bad Goff was.
Goff's stat lne
198 yards 2ints 0 tds
1 pick 6
He also missed a wide open Henderson for an easy TD that would have made the score 17-10 but the Rams had to settle for the FG making the score 17-6
Stop diverting from the conversation... my point was that Goff had a chance to win the game...and he didn't do it. He was outplayed by Nick Mullens. Period a garbage QB. The score was 20-20 and Goff didn't get it done by missing Woods on 2nd and 5 with an easy throw and then on 3rd and 5 forced a deep throw to Kupp and missed Woods wide open over the middle. Goff did that. Mullens didn't miss when he got an opportunity.
Start holding Goff accountable for his poor play... and stop blaming the defense. You have been wrong about the defense all year. Cut it out... you are a better poster than that. Just cut it out. Without this defense, this team would have won 6 games with how poorly the QB play was. Can't you see that's why McVay is so upset? Good grief man
The Rams defense held the 49ers to 16 points.... that should be enough for this offense to do well. Goff was awful that game AWFUL!!!!
I don't want to hear this diversion about the Rams defense when the defense is the reason they were even in the game and able to come back.
The QB has to be able to make a play. Just a couple of fricking plays!!! Goodness, it's not too much to ask that Goff would be able to keep the chains moving when the Rams need him to make a play. He was feckless in the game... just like he was at the end against the Jets

Does the Rams 'much better' defense bear any responsibility for either of those games? Didn't they blow (yet) another 4th down coverage and let Kittle 6 a 50 yard catch? Didn't Raheem Mostert (in one) and Deebo Samuel run wild in those games?
I'm looking for consistency of logic here. You can't hold Goff accountable for what you think is bad play, but fluff off Russell Wilson's poor play. If Nick Mullens can outplay Goff against a 'much better' defense, why couldn't Wilson do it?
Something doesn't seem consistent here. What gives?
