It opens up a lot of room for passing routes for the other WR's , TE's and RB's.
Goff throws a very nice deep ball. With Cooks he always launched at least 2 a game to him.
This year, I can't really remember that many deep balls at all.
Well, that’s kinda the whole point, oldschool.
McVay has largely taken away the deep drops for Goff and is keeping TE’s largely in to block to cover up for OL and Goff. Our once feared O has been neutered in just 2 years.
All 22 shows numerous open receivers but Goff either can’t see them, is afraid of a turnover, or the rush is upon him. The plays are still in the playbook but the QB and OL can’t execute them. Very frustrating, man.
