I agree. And I don't agree that they can just go out and build a "stud" OL. If it were that easy, they would have done it. Our OL was top 10 in rushing and passing and was at least serviceable.
It just isn't realistic to me for us to go out and have to potentially replace LT, G, C, WR, LB, S, etc. when trading Goff will give us cap relief, likely allow us to keep most of the team together AND allow us to either draft of sign a QB hand picked by McVay.
If Goff were on a reasonable deal I might feel differently but his cost has been huge ever since the beginning. And he really hasn't provided something unique enough to warrant all the capitol invested in him. McVay and his offense can get by with far less spent on a QB if the money is spent on keeping the rest of the team together.
