1. Any trade of Jared Goff would have to be completed after June 1st. Thats the only way the Rams cap hit is only 6m this year. If you cannot complete the trade before the draft, then you obviously cannot include a 2021 draft pick. It would be for a 2022 1st rounder.

2. Trading Goff after June 1st saves the Rams 27.8m in cap space this year, but it creates dead cap in 2022 to the tune of 15.4m further complicating a not good 2022 cap for the Rams that would have to extend Watson.

3. the Rams have to tender Williams at the first round tender for around 4.5m.

4. Say the Rams get a #1 in 2021 for Williams, and a 2022 for Goff. To get to the asking price, You would include the Williams 2021 #1, the Goff 2022 #1, and their original 2022 #1. But if you trade for Watson before June 1st, you have to find a way to take on Watson's contract under the cap with the issues the Rams already have with the cap.

I'm glad I'm not the Rams trying to figure this one out. There are a lot of moving parts here. And it mainly revolves around the cap. Let alone finding a trade partner for Goff and a team willing to give up a first for Williams
