Let's suppose you trade Goff to the Jaguars for the #1 pick in the draft and you get Trevor Lawrence, sounds impressive, right? And Trevor would definitely be cheaper than Goff so you free up capspace to boot, but what if Trevor flames out? A lot of things have to go right for a team to function properly, it is not the performance of one person it is how 11 persons perform as a team and make each other better playing together so you also have to consider that possibility, what would your plan B be?
I still believe the best QB we got is Goff but above all I am a Ram fan so I will root and back whoever McVay choses to be the starter next season but the only thing going for Wolford is that he is different but production wise he did not ouperformed Goff, I get the fact that expectations are different but to me production is what matters so I would stick with Goff but it is also true that we are never able to actually see what the QB sess and we do not know the play and routes assigned so it is kind of hard to really evaluate but, and no matter what I believe, whatever McVay decisdes I'll back him up, he has been very successful and let's remember he is still learning so no matter what he decides I definitely am looking forward to a very exciting 2021 season.
