...have a long, punishing drive for a TD with the OL dominating, Akers plowing for first downs, short passes to the tight ends, eight minutes off the clock. This would set the defense up early on. It would open up the potential for making some longer throws to the wide receivers. This would be the best possible opening other than kicking off and getting a quick turnover. It would not be good to kick off and then give up a long drive for a TD and have to start off playing from behind.
