I'd go so far as saying that Goff's Ram career might hinge on this game. If he reverts to '17/'18 form, all is good. If he's the inconsistent, unproductve mess that he's been for much of the last 2+ years, McVay may just call it a wrap and find a new QB.

There might be some grace and forgiveness because of his contract and thumb but this is not a knee jerk reaction imo.
His performance in this game will tilt the scales for man fans and NFL media gurus.
The media won't forgive him for his thumb issues.
Some fans will and a good size crowd will say next season is his make or break season.
With all the fluff and antics we've read and some of it from the horses mouth by Jared himself, this is not a game he can lay an egg in should the defense do their part.
Damn there is a lot of pressure on Mr. Goff. No matter how you spin it, the pressure Saturday is like none he's ever had before at the professional level.
