If Goff is 100% ready to go -he starts. If not start Wolford. If Wolford falters bring in Goff. Goff knows Seattle-Wolford doesn't-Goff has beaten Seattle-Wolford has never played them and has only one game in the NFL. But if Goff is 100 % and you start Wolford-you've just lost Goff and your entire investment in him. To say start Wolford no matter Goff's status based on one game which a non Ram fan watching would say was a mediocre performance just makes no sense-to me.
One of the talking heads on NFLNetwork said, "if Jared Goff is healthy and McVay starts Wolford, Goff should demand a trade". Now I think we all know Goff ain't that kinda kid but the point is, despite Wolford's running ability. Despite the fact he completed 3 passes over 20 yards (first time for the Rams in weeks). He has yet to put the ball in the endzone. And in Seattle, the Rams are going to need that to happen. If Goff isn't healthy, then Wolford is the only other guy.
