I do not normally blame Goff, I have been a huge Goff supporter, but that INT he threw was one of the worst decisions I have ever seen and it totally turned the game, I fully believe without that pick we beat Seattle.
Also it was more a response to the argument that Goff is better since he played better against AZ than Wolf did today. I think that is a silly argument, but I went with it.
I don't care about one bad play that way. It didn't lose the game. What it did was anger a lot of fans but I don't rate that as that much of a problem. The goal line failure lost the game. And either way, Wolford threw one INT too, one that led to a TD.
And the upshot in a comparison of 2 recent games by the 2 qbs is that in both cases the offense only got 9 points and was stalled at the goal line.
And of course Goff playing better than Wolford against Arizona is perfectly on point.
Meanwhile the difference between Goff v. Seattle and Wolford v. Arizona is ... basically ... none. Same offensive points, 1 INT each, virtually identical qb ratings.
If Goff can't go next week I will pull for Wolford to play better against a tougher defense and cheer him on. If Goff can go I will do the exact same thing.
