"We" (or rather "they" beat Seattle, but Goff lost to them?

"They" includes Goff, and "they" won one and "they" lost one.

The difference to my eye was that in the first game the Seattle defense was not the improved unit they met in the 2nd game. That improved Seattle defense threw the entire offense off, especially the OL, which was represented starkly by the 4 shots for nothing at the goal line.

Not only that btw but "they" including Goff beat Seattle 5 times out of the last 8 games under McVay.

Either way try not to do the thing where when they win it's the whole team and when they lose it's one player.
