There seems to be a lot of questions and concerns but I like the situation. Goff's last three games (Last two, especially) were simply bad. ALL season, he has missed SEVERAL passes in key situations. It has not been all bad by Goff. He has had some pretty good games. But he is NOWHERE CLOSE to where a 5th year QB should be. His decent games should be the rule and not the occasional happening. Imagine if we did not have the NFC East on our schedule early??
Could the O line be better? Sure! Running game? Sure! Coaching / play calling? Sure! But none were so bad to keep Goff from missing open throws. And none were CERTAINLY to blame for that INT last week. The O , as a whole, has crashed n burned with Goff's troubles.
Sunday....We have a pretty sharp QB who thinks on the run. I think he will be less of a fumbler. He also can take off and get yards quickly, if needed. I see him doing things that might open up other things in the O ( LONGER PASSES??) It will simply be a MUCH needed breath of fresh air for the O. And I bet that will carry over to the defense too. I sense a fun day on Sunday.
