I have heard a few comments on this board and even back on the STL Today board about his strange attitude. AAAND.... I have a bud who met him years ago and said that he was a bit of a @#$%& but he gave him benefit of the doubt...Maybe just a bad day. But before and after that, I have not heard too many nice things about him.
Yeah, stories about Faulk being ‘different’ have been around for quite some time. Helluva football player but maybe not the nicest human being walking the planet.
I saw him on Eisen once and you could tell that the "jerk" narrative was completely valid. He has a very entitled attitude and very little in the way of redeeming human qualities. In fact he came across not just as a jerk but as a capital A1 prime jerk.
And I have heard several stories over the years.
Great football player though he would have been an even greater one (if that's possible!) if he actually took care of himself physically and worked out etc.--something which he apparently never did.
