even with how poorly the line played in the first half... and they were brutal (and much of that was game plan too)
the Rams offense was much better in the second half and they had a chance to win the game. The QB was asked to get them 4 yards for a first down. Why are people blaming McVay on those two calls. That's Goff, not McVay.
It's like people don't understand that the QB has progressions built into the plays. McVay called the right play the QB just didn't execute.
If you want to get on McVay what you should focus on is why he allowed his offense get abused in the first half like that and didn't adjust sooner incorporating 2 TE sets and settling them down and attacking in the run game. How many times have we seen his offense bog down like that in the first half? Its always the same crap.
The penalties on Akers 3 big runs were mindnumbing - You just can have that and the last one cost them a TD
And the defense... I am just speechless
Back to Kurt - He said the same thing about Goff after the Niners loss. He needs to process through his progressions quicker and then other times he doesn't process at all and those two final plays were that. He did the same thing in the last Niners loss on that final drive
