Ben suffers from the lack of a running game and dropped passes by his receivers. He hasn't forgotten how to play the game. He takes the blame like a man, that makes him a leader. The same happened to Elway and Warner in the middle years of their careers. Once the rest of their teams improved, miraculously, so did they.
Here's my problem with how SOME people evaluate QB's:
He fumbles too much is the complaint. This evaluation usually ignores a QB who gets hit more often than the rest.
He folds under pressure. This usually ignores how quickly the pressure comes and if the play design created decent options.
He can't be trusted to win a game by himself. This ignores how frequently even the best QB's perform when receivers run bad routes or coordinators get out coached. How does Tom Brady look this year? How has Russell Wilson fared the last four games? My problem is that some people have selective memories.
