Some positives but in the end believe this game will hurt the team. Fools Gold they call it.
Some positives (dominating defense and an emerging runningback) but in the end in todays NFL you have to attack and move the ball with big chunks of yards.
yes
Some positives but in the end in todays NFL you have to have more production throughout the game on moving the ball
I get the Cam Newton factor and figured out pretty early that the Patriots couldn't score last night and the 10-0 lead was game, set, match.
But I think in the long haul this game will work against the Rams as to beat the better teams you have to stay after it. This won't do it against the AFC winner (Buffalo or KC) or (Packers, Seahawks) The Rams will have to maintain that early start the entire game versus 3 plays and out so many times and only 1 successful drive after the first 10 minutes of the game. The last 50+ minutes of the game nothing got done except the 1st drive of the 2nd half.
1) Interception
2) Punt
3) Punt
4) Touchdown
5) Punt
6) Punt
7) Punt
8) Punt
9) Run out Clock
5 of the 9 drives were 3 plays or less
Doesn't make any sense.... it was pretty clear after the 17-0 lead this game was over.
Cam was having a breakout game and you're up by two TD's vs a team that can barley get a first down
Why would you want to do anything else than just runnthe ball and chew clock? Don't confuse this as we can't move the ball(3rd in NFL in yards) this was simply not a game that we needed to throw much at all once we got that big lead
