I think McVay learned from the Miami game. Sometimes it's ok to play to your strengths and don't have to score 30+.
NE wasn't good against the run so he calls a game with heavy running. No need to put it on Goff.
Last night was not a game the naysayers could credibly nitpick because McVay didn't give Goff the opportunity to perform like an elite QB if by elite we mean throwing the football all over the field.
For his part, Goff showed development too when he took the sack late instead of forcing a throw to Kupp.
